For 2017, our collaboration knife was made by our talented former president, Roger Hatt of Enderby. The knife is a dagger with a Damascus blade forged by Jay Kemble of Milk River, Alberta. Vern Lynes another talented maker from Bonnyville, Alberta made the display stand and did all the engraving. The guard and butt cap are made using the leaf spring from an old Ford. The handle is black African wood.
The tickets are still 3 for $5 and the draw will be held at the KTSA show in Kamloops on April 23, 2017.
The Western Canada Knife Association was formed in June of 2000 when a group of knife enthusiasts got together in Kamloops, BC, Canada. They decided that there was a need for a knife related organization in Western Canada that would serve knife makers, scrimshaw artists, engravers, collectors, and anyone else involved or interested in knives.
